Focused on Wellness

ABOUT SHOREHAM YOGA
Welcome to Shoreham Yoga. My name is Lucy Bailey and I run yoga classes in Shoreham by Sea in West Sussex.
I run two friendly classes each week at Huntingdon Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Every person is unique and their body history is different, so I encourage all students to work at their own pace rather than being competitive.
During the classes we practise physical postures, mindful stretching, and breathing techniques to strip away layers of tension and unhealthy habitual patterns of movement that can sometimes lead to discomfort.
We always begin with a few minutes of relaxation to quieten the mind and detach from the stresses of the day and every class will finish with a deeper relaxation.

What to bring?
There are mats, blankets and blocks in the hall that you can use if you don't have your own equipment and would like to try a session before committing to buying your own.
Please note, since Covid we have been unable to lend out equipment, so please bring your own mat.
We hope we'll be able to offer this facility again in the near future.
Where to find us?
Both classes are held in Huntington Hall next to Shoreham Free Church on the corner of Buckingham Road and Gordon Road, Shoreham by Sea, BN43 6WF.
The hall is just north of Shoreham train station and there is a free car park at the front of the hall.

About Lucy Bailey
I have been teaching yoga for many years and practising it for many more. I hold a British Wheel of Yoga teaching Diploma and have completed the Humanistic Yoga Course run by Peter Blackaby.
The yoga I teach continues to evolve and is influenced by Sivananda, Hatha, Scaravelli and the 'grounded' yoga approach.
Yoga has many benefits both physical and mental and I encourage students to work consciously and mindfully, developing a sense of 'inner listening'. As we become more aware of our relationship between mind and body we can explore the unhelpful habitual patterns that can lead to tension, stress and ill-health and so allow us the possibility of positive change.
As awareness develops on the mat we can take it with us throughout the rest of our lives.
